what we learned about sex… and how those lessons still live in our bodies, our minds, and our marriages today.
For many of us, sex was never talked about at all.
For others, the messages we received were shame-based, fear-driven, or wrapped in unrealistic ideals.
Some of us absorbed confusion or silence. Others absorbed pressure, fear, or even distorted ideas of what it means to be desired.
In this episode, I share a deeply personal story about my own early exposure to pornography, the lasting impact it had on my sense of worth, and how that confusion showed up in my marriage. I also talk about the harm of being dismissed by someone I turned to for help—and how our stories deserve to be met with empathy, not judgment.
